That's why they call it "settling down."

Truly, it's because you are content to hold each other in the current philosophy (soon-to-be 'your old ways'), you love each other too much to care 'what the newest trend is.'

This is the first time anyone has called me that. I'm married, happy about it, and really don't care what the "newest trend" is...I remember when the "newest trend"
was a polyester leisure suit...I didn't buy into that one either.

I'm happily married, too, and I also don't buy into whatever the latest and most fashionable "isms" laid upon us by celebrities or other persons of dubious influence. I believe its when the husband and wife start listening to other people more than each other that the problems begin.

One of my favorite TV-shows was The Beverly Hillbillies (though I still spell it with a "Y").

A very-central message to that show was that–though the backwoods-ways seemed "funny" to modern, technological standards–they were the ways that work.

It's sort of like The Truth: no matter what kind of lies it seems to tell, The Truth remains the same!Disagree? Join to Defend Your Honor!
