On Loving You
posted October 31, 2009 - 5:08amAnother one of the poems I wrote for a loved one. I just get inspired when the feeling is overwhelming. Indeed, when you're in love, you think of things that don't normally cross your mind on a regular day.
How I Love You
When I think of you,
my heart grows wings
that flutter from sheer blissfulness,
as if reaching the heavens.
When I hear your voice,
my thoughts, in their deepest sequestration,
run free in the solace of your words.
When I see your smile,
my eyes cry out
for more of its sweet comfort.
When I kiss your lips,
my being becomes complete,
and silently shouts out the perfection
of having you in my life.
Your love has swept me entirely,
and you'll know--
from the simple brush of my fingertips on your cheek,
you'll be blown away by the beating of my heart.
