Low Carb Diets Work

recently started dieting. I am wanting to lose weight. After having two children, i find it really hard to get back to my pre-pregnancy body. When i met my husband i wore a size 4, now not so much.

I went to a friend, whom i have discussed in my other hub, guilt free guilty pleasure. She was about 300 lbs. She now weighs about 140lbs. She started eating low carbs. I went to her expecting some crazy diet regiment. We sat down and she showed me everything that she was eating. To my surprise it was all normal stuff.

Now, i have started following it. The trick is to never get hungry and never get stuffed. You should always be eating. No bread, cheese, pasta,or red meat. Look, i know that sounds crazy, it did to me too. I did it for one week and i lost 5 lbs. I sort of fell off track of Easter. I have now resumed it.

I eat a lot of pears. I eat them because number one they taste great. and number two they are a good source of fiber. I always had digestive problems. That, thanks to pears, is a thing of the past. Pineapples are also wonderful from Sams. Make sure to get fresh pineapple, none of that canned stuff. It has too much artificial sugar in it. I eat hummus. Sams Club sales it and has a couple of different flavors to choose from.

I eat turkey when i am hungry. I just roll them up like a cigar and eat a couple of slices. I put them in a Ziploc bag and take them with me when i am in a hurry. I also eat Almonds. They are a brain food because they have omega-3s in them.

I also eat a lot of chicken. I was getting tired of the same ole thing. I was baking it with Tony's seasoning and Italian dressing. I have since started using Paul Newman's dressings as a marinade. There are several to choose from. My favorite is Southwest or Balsamic Vinaigrette. I also use Ziploc's steamer bags to steam our vegetables. They are wonderful. There is no dish to clean up and most of the veggies take about 5 min. to steam. You can steam broccoli,Lima beans, peas, asparagus, carrots, squash, green beans. The list goes on.

You can also buy turkey burgers at Sams. I make these for lunch. They are quick and easy. Or you can buy already cooked chicken patties and just heat them up. Turkey meat instead of hamburger meat is good to use, especially if you love spaghetti like i do. If you are going to make spaghetti, use whole grain pasta and don't eat a lot of the pasta. Eat more sauce if you are still hungry. Have a piece of fruit for dessert and some Nutella. YUM!!!!

Try this for just one week and see what it can do for you. Good Luck. Let me know if you benefit from it.
