Lower Car Insurance By Driving Less And Raising Deductible

If you have lost your job or changed you place of employment, you may be driving less, but still paying car insurance premiums for higher driving mileage.
If you had a long work commute and your work circumstances have changed, check your car insurance policy and or talk with your insurance agent. You can lower your car insurance rates if you are driving less. If you work from home or take public transit to work now, you should be able to lower your declared driving mileage on your car insurance and save money on premiums.
While you're talking with your car insurance agent, discuss raising the insurance deductible and you can save a significant amount of money in a year's time on insurance premiums.
If you've kept your older model car instead of updating with a newer model, your car insurance premiums should be lowering each year as your car ages and you may find you don't need all the original insurance coverage you first took out on your car. Dropping or lowering some of the car insurance add-ons will lower your car insurance premiums too.
