Lutherans ask forgiveness of Anabaptists
posted October 31, 2009 - 7:40pmLeaders of the Lutheran World Federation have approved a statement apologising for the 16th-century persecution of Anabaptists, religious reformers whose successors are found in groups such as the Mennonites and Brethren.
There seems to be a move a repentance among many different Christian groups as they look at mistakes and sins of the past. For instance, in recent years, many Christian groups have publicly repented and asked forgiveness of Native Americans and African Americans for past sins against them.
As Christians repent and come together in unity, we will see God bring revival.
