Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard review

The Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard from Apple has over 300 very functional and useful easy to use features. Surly a change from Apple's first major operating system 'Tiger' over two years ago. The new enhancements of the Leopard make productivity on your Mac enjoyable to say the least.

The Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard comes equipped with features such as Time Machine, useful for backing up your system. Also Finder, which offers navigation tweaks, sure to be useful. Spaces allows the user to switch between virtual desktops, becoming useful when working on projects. Cover Flow is an application that actually visualizes file browsing. The Leopard also has iChat Theater, Bootcamp, and integration with Web data and applications. The Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard did not skimp out on the powerful and useful features.

One draw back about the Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard is that users will not be able to run Leopard on older Mac systems. But is that really a surprise, being such a powerful application. Apple's requirements to run the Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard would include owning an Intel or PowerPC G5 Mac. A PowerPC-based G4 Mac with an 867MHz or better processor will also work. Apple also suggests having 512MB of RAM for smooth operating.

The Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard's price range is about $130.00 to purchase. Right now the Leopard is flying off shelves. Seems like a worthy product for the Apple fans.
