I think I have been quite lucky to see my child grow. I simply pity those parents who due to lack of time don’t experience the joy of seeing their child grow. There are many who when they return from the office find that their child has already gone to bed. The pleasure of seeing your child grow is great.

If you are able to observe closely a child’s behaviour then you will find that your child is constantly growing. When your child is happy you are also happy. You then feel you are at the top of the world. When one day you are bogged down by your child’s tantrums the other day may be a pleasant surprise for you when you find that your child is acting in a mature way even beyond your expectations.

Watching the swings in a child’s behaviour is a wonderful way of understanding a child’s growth. Though I have enjoyed seeing my child’s growth, I regret could not maintain a daily diary documenting the everyday growth and my child. I think if you are a writer than you can best record the growth of your child. Your diary can be the biggest gift at the time when your child is getting married. Your child will then understand that you have been a wonderful parent who has taken real pains to understand him. So I recommend those who are enjoying the joys of parenting must write.
