Make $500 in one day

Make $500 in one day

Do you think it is possible to make $500 in one day by writing a blog?

What if you could consistently make $2.00 a day off of every post you put up on Xomba? Would you be motivated to write 250 posts, which would give you $500 a day?

I wonder if it is possible. In the "making money" article that was posted on Xomba, they write that it is possible for the average blog post should make between $.50 and $2.00 per day. That seems a little high for an estimate, but it would be nice though wouldn't it?

I think it may be possible to pump out the volume of posts--while maintaining good quality--that it takes to make some serious money here. I am not sure though.

I am a little skeptical that it is possible to make a lot of money blogging. But it is worth a shot!

Don't you think?

Besides, it is good writing practice--that is probably the greatest benefit we get here writing our blogs. And if we make a few bucks, that is just icing on the cake.

A lot of people publish articles on Associated Content. There is another site similar to AC where you basically sell articles you write for prices you specify.

Plus now AC is offering bonuses for page views. That is the best part--getting paid after the fact, like residuals.

The more writing you do, the more money you make. But another thing you want to think about is high value keywords.

You get paid when readers

You get paid when readers "click" on the ads that surround your post. You don't get paid for how many times your post is clicked on. You could have 1000 page views but with no clicks on ads, you don't make any money.

is the money made by actual

is the money made by actual clicks on google ads alone or is it based on clicks on your xombyte? Meaning, if someone sees the title "Paris Hilton Pleads "Not Guilty" and clicks on it does that contribute to pay? or must they click on a google ad? Just wondering. Thanks

Digg is very important however

Marketing your Xombytes to as many places possible is very important. However, most traffic to your xombyte will also come from search engines. Thus, making your title very important. When you write something think about how people will search for Xombyte. You should always market your Xombyte though. Delicious, Technorati, Digg, Reddit. Instructions can be found under the help tab at the top of the page or the Make Money page at the top left.

Not that I should

Your very correct in that digg is tough. But, even though I shouldn't, if someone has esstentially the same story as me I will post it anyway. Usually, the diggers are posting websites like abc.com, msnbc.com, etc and not their own writings. So if I have my own take I consider it different even if someone else has a link up. Does that make sense? Oh, and yeah, I am a little but crazy but wifey is a little but country so it all evens out! D

Re Don't waste your time....

Yes, I know D. has his methods, but there's no madness involved, I mean you can't argue with his success. He's not mad, he's crazy like a fox! We can all learn from his techniques like using Digg, etc., especially concerning celebs-- they are much searched-for, and Digg has its own category for them. Trying to get a news or tech scoop on Digg is pretty tough. I tried to Digg my iPhone story, but at least a dozen people had already beaten me to it.

Don't waste your time....

Becareful Idlewild not to just waste your time... Believe it or not ErikaDarrell has a method to his madness... But you are right... you don't have to have super long posts.

$500 a day? Tough. 250 posts a day? Not so tough.

Since Xomba only requires posts to be 25 words, 250 of them doesn't need to take that much time. And longer posts doesn't necessarily mean more reads/clicks/money. Some of erikadarrell's celeb posts are pretty short, a paragraph or two and a photo. So writing a Xomba post doesn't have to involve lots of writing, research, etc. etc. Maybe I'll try to do 250 in one day, just as a test...

it's possible but...

not likely. i think that figure is pretty high. and if you want to spend all your time writing about things that might get you a lot of hits, and then submit it to every place under the sun... then it becomes a full-time job and you STILL won't be making enough for it to be useful as a full-time job. i think i've made a total of $2.00 so far! and frankly, i don't really care one way or the other. i just write what i want to write and don't worry whether i make money at it or not.

thanks for the hand...

I got it now... I still think it's possible, but just really hard--I mean it would take serious work.
