All to often I hear people complaining that they cannot make money online. One of the biggest reasons that they are not making money is the fact that they jump around from one program to the next. They never spend enough time (or marketing energy) with one program long enough to be successful.

In addition to being patient, you should keep detailed records. I think a good record keeping system is vitally important to your online success. I once sent over three hundred visitors to the sales page of an affiliate product. I knew from past history that this program usually converted about 1% of all visitors into buyers. Armed with this knowledge, I stayed with the product. Over the next week, I made 4 sales. Each sale earned me over 40 dollars. My patience put one hundred twenty bucks in my pocket in a week. If I had been impatient, I would never have made that money.

On average, most Internet products convert about 1% of all visitors into buyers. Keep track of how many people you send to each of your affiliate merchants. If you’ve only sent 50 people to a site over a two month period, be patient and stay with the program. Step up your marketing efforts to send more people there. If you don’t generate any sales after 300 or 350 visits, then you should consider making a change.

Don’t be impatient and jump from program to program impulsively. Keep good records and be patient. Patience is one of the virtues that can make you big money!
