Make money for doing something you enjoy...

It is a very cool thing that people are able to make money on the web just by blogging about things they are interested in. I’m curious as to how much money someone can make by blogging on a site like Xomba. I’ve been doing a little research about how to create traffic and form a base of readers, which is ultimately where any profits will come from.

Here are a few useful tips.

A very important part in driving traffic to your blog is what “keywords” you decide to use. Go to Yahoo Keyword Selector tool and enter your main topic (Google also has a similar tool), which will give you a list of searches related to your keyword and how many people searched for that term. It will also give you an idea of how much profit may be made for a given subject.

Then, write articles using the search terms returned from Yahoo. Make sure that you use the keywords you choose in the body of your writing. Also make sure that your blog is about something you are interested in, which will make it a lot easier to write articles about.

Update your blog daily, adding new fresh content. Look at each blog entry that you write as "online real estate” that sits in cyberspace, waiting for visitors to click ads and generate revenue. The more real estate you have, the more possibility there is to make money.

Go to Google and join their Adsense program and add the html codes to your webpages. As your traffic builds, your Adsense income will increase.

Continue to search for related keyword terms and build your website to be a content rich site which people will find naturally in the search engines.

If blogging is something you like to do as a hobby, making a little bit of money from it is just an added bonus.
