Make Money by Voting for Xomba Posts
I was surprised when I wived some of the posts from list of the TOP 10 POSTS. Because they have only ten to twenty points and I think it`s really nothing. I`t just seems too little for me.
I think they are great posts and they deserved to be there, but where is the problem? The problem is that just a small part of people are actually voting for posts. And there are some reasons why...
1) there are (I think) some people who just don`t know that it`s possible to vote for the posts. It`s maybe a 0,0001% of people.
2) there are quite big number of people busy with making money, writing and posting and counting money, even so busy to see what others are writing about. And thats sad because I thought this project is about communication etc. not just about earning the big profit ( I think it`s the second reason). And there are a lot of interesting and useful posts
3) people who are a fried of concurrents. They think "If I will vote for this post then he will have more points then I have and his post will be on the list and a lot of visitors will read it and he will earn more money than I do". Thinking like that is wrong, because i`t destroys the main idea of the voting and top.
Voting is needed to detect the best posts and bring them in the main page where every visitor can see them. It`s just normal. We want show the best to our visitors so they can see that here are a lot of interesting stuff with good quality . And if they will think so they will return or join and read our posts and your`s too and you will earn money.
So lets follow the mine idea of voting and make money all together. Because in Xomba one man is nothing we have to work together.
And voting for post you like is one of the things You can do. It takes only on click..

I thought it`s self-evident when I saw the yellow square at the corner of post... and the list of top 10 posts

There are the points each member gets when `y subits posts, and the points each article gets when people click the 'plus'.
The ratings are for the lists that people go to in order to see high-rated content.
Maybe they're also for other things, but that's prob`ly in the FAQs.

I am not too sure though about the correlation betn making money and voting. But votes do keep up the spirit!

Its evidence from the comments in this post that many readers do not know how to go about voting. Voting is like rating. You click once on the "+" sign. You can only vote once. You do not vote for the sake of voting but only if you believe the post is great. That one post is indeed very valuable as it increases that post ranking. If that one vote will make your post be on front page of Xomba, then your post will be sitting on a PR of 5- plus for 30 days or so.

I did not realize that there are so many people who don`t know about voting and top ten posts. So I didn't explain how to do that and how it works... I am new one here and I just thought everyone already knows that...

Enjoyed reading your post. And I agree with you that are many interesting articles here that one should take time to read. I have learned a lot from others.
I completely agree with you, Gustavs. I've been saying this for well over a year now. We should ALL be helping each other out by supporting each other's work and trying to raise the general earning potential for Xomba writers.
That said...For many of us, it's not just about making money and never will be.

A simple advertising---simpler than even the 'classifieds': "putting up signs within the store" Not to say that 'people are stupid;' but do you think that McDonald'ses would make any money if they didn't have menus posted up on the boards above the counter?
What I'm saying, Nick, is 'add a few words beneath the "plus" to inform members that they should vote---something like, "Members: show favor here" (with an arrow pointing to the "plus").'

I'm still new here, but I agree that it takes everyone to make a great site. The best thing about the Internet is all the great information you can find. And this site is probably one of the best I've found so far.
I will remember this in the days and weeks to come. If my stuff gets voted, cool. If not, that's cool too. However, anytime I find an article I find interesting and informative, I'll be more than happy to give it a vote.

While it may not be the Bible's point of the story, I've seen Christian writers comment on why the enemies were able to plant the weeds: because the guarding workers were sleeping!
Often Christians don't vote because they don't see how an enemy in the government can do much more damage than a friend in the government. But a place's government is 'the face it shows to the world,' and that kind of cosmetic surgery is painful!
But Xomba.com provides a good example with its voting-process. Whenever you see an article that would make Xomba.com's face prettier (either because of the original writer's work or because of a wise comment beneath the work), click the grey plus-sign at the top to make it green (helping to boost the article to the face)!
