Page Rank is the way that Google determines which websites are the most important. Google assigns each web page with a number between 0-10. The higher the number, the higher that web page will appear in the Google search engine. Here is how Google defines Page Rank:
"PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important".
Basically what this means is that the more web pages that link to your page, the higher your Page Rank will be. Also, the higher your Page Rank of those web pages linking in, the higher the Page Rank of the page being linked to. Every 3 or 4 months Google reassigns the Page Rank of everything on the web in what is called a Google Dance. These are the only times you will see a change in a web page's Page Rank.
Xomba has its own Page Rank, but every page, i.e.: YOUR page, on Xomba also has a Page Rank of its own. Here is a tool you can use to find a web page's Page Rank. If you don’t like your page’s rank, the best way to improve your Page Rank is to get high quality pages on the internet to link to your profile. Seeing all those incoming links, Google will assign your user profile with a Page Rank and visit it more often for new content and give your posts more importance in the search results. Use your user profile URL as your homepage link on forums, blog comments and social websites to help raise your Page Rank. Remember, this is a long term strategy. Google changes Page Rank only once every 3 or 4 months so you won't see immediate results, but in the long run it can help you earn significantly more money on Xomba.
Xomba has an ongoing referral program that allows you to earn 10% of the revenue from any user you refer. They won't lose out on the 10% -- that will come from our side of the 50/50 split.
- You Get 10%
- Referral Gets 50%
- Xomba Gets 40%
To refer friends, simply direct them to Xomba through your referral link. This link can be found on your profile page right below your buddy list. Once on Xomba they will have to register before exiting the site. Otherwise you will not get credit for the referral.
Here is a link to some useful banners that will help you land referrals:
*Note* - These banners should only be used outside of Xomba and not placed in your Xombytes or Xomblurbs.
