Chelsea's Claude Makelele has joined Ligue 1 side PSG. The capital team struggled to avoid relegation last season. PSG have already recruited another French international Ludovic Giuly from Roma to prevent another torrid campaign this season. The 35 year old midfielder returns to his homeland 10 years after leaving. Its believed that the Midfielder is delighted to be going home.

Makelele revealed that Chelsea let him go because of his desire to join PSG so much. Its believed that the player has signed a 2 year playing contract. He also has a wish to go into coaching when hes finished playing. Makelele has been credited with almost inventing a new role. The anchorman role is now almost synonymous with the player.
