More than 2500 acres of Malibu have been ravaged by wildfires. Throughout Southern California, more than 125,000 acres have burned.... and are still burning.

The fires are estimated to be less than 10% under control...

Hundreds of thousands of persons have been evacuated. Hundreds of homes have burned. Many other structures have burned including the Malibu Presbyterian Church, and Malibu Castle, as seen in this video....

There has one been one death and dozens of injuries. The fatality was a person trying to cross the border illegally. At least 4 firefighters have been injured.

Officials ask that all residents be prepared to evacuate on a moments notice if the wind and fire direction change and that everyone please stay off their cell phones so that the emergency workers can communicate with each other.
