Mamta Mohandas, born on August 5th 1985 born & raised in Bahrain though she originally hails from Kerala. Mamta was undertaking a degree at Mount Carmel, Bangalore doing modeling assignments doing both print ads for quite some time before starting her cinematic career.

Mamta débuted in the Malayalam film Mayookham in 2005 directed by Hariharan. Although the film did not do well at the box-office, Mamta attracted attention for her sensitive portrayal and got further noticed for her breakthrough was the role of Mammootty's sister in the successful Bus Conductor.

Mamta was then seen in major roles opposite Jayaram in Madhuchandralekha and Suresh Gopi in Adhbutam and Lanka ( The Controversial smooch scene that waved in the industry ) until she was roped as lead in a Tamil film 'Sivapathigaram' opposite Vishal directed by Karu Pazhaniappan.

Mamta being a trained singer in Carnatic and Hindustani music made her singing debut with the telugu hit 'Rakhee' with Devi Sri Prasad's great music and now has also made her entry in Kollywood playback singing by crooning a tune named "Kaalai Kaalai" in the film Kaalai.

Mamta, a multi talented damsel is now making waves in the industry for flaunting her hotness in Tollywood that makes her one of the busiest actress in the telugu industry. After singing hot and spicy item numbers like ‘rakhi rakhi…’ in "Rakhee", ‘36 24 36….’ in "Jagadam", ‘akalesthe….’ in "Shankar Dada Zindabad" and ‘O lammi….’ in "Yamadonga", Mamta Mohandas is all set to sing a melodious song in her next film. She is going to sing this song in her next movie with Nitin. Chakry is the music director and C Ravi Kumar of Samanyudu fame is the director of the film.

Mamtha is also entering Bollywood in 2008. She has signed up with a big production company in Bollywood for a movie which is going to start shooting in Feb 2008. She is right now busy acting and singing in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam-Telugu Cinemas.

No matter if this damsel gets more in her singing career or not , she's sure about her acting career with sensational acting, dancing & flaunting skills attracting millions o fans only to create more expectation in her forthcoming ventures.
