The man who tried to kidnap me!

The Man who tried to kidnap me.

I was about 8. I lived in a small suburb of Fort Worth. It was night and was almost time for me to go to bed. My dogs were barking chaotically in the backyard and my mother was washing the dishes after dinner. I had been in the garage a little earlier with my father watching him fix something with his tools. He had a plaid shirt on and he usually always wears hats. This night could have been the night that my life ended, it could have been the night where I was taken and never found, it could have been the night that I would of been raped or beaten. The garage had been open while I and my father were in the garage. The man that was about to make an attempt to take me could have been watching all along. I had gone to the backyard to see what all the commotion with my dogs was when I got to the gate I saw a man coming towards the gate in the darkness. I could not see a face, or barely anything. It was dark as ever. All I could make out was what looked like a plaid shirt and a hat. I naturally assumed it was my father. He reached over the fence and began to lift me up in an attempt to pull me over the fence. I kept saying to him, “Dad.” “Dad, what are you doing.” “Daddy” I repeated it over and over and thought he might be trying to scare me. As he almost had me over the fence I said “Daddy, why are you pulling me over the fence?” He then breathed really hard and dropped me. He ran off into the darkness. I ran inside and told my mother what was “Daddy doing outside?” She said, “What are you talking about? He is in the shower.” I then ran to the bathroom door and heard the shower on and heard my dad in the bathroom!” All along I thought it was him and it wasn't! If this man hadn't had a conscious, he could of changed everything for the worst. Years later a girl was taken and murdered in the next neighborhood! It might have been the same man, that girl could have been me...
