Ok, maybe it has been this year, but it's not as bad as Kansas. My ex-girlfriend was from Wichita, and she claimed she was once chased down the highway by a twister. Of course, she was a bit scooters, so that probably never happened.

But think of all the great song writers that came out of Tornado Alley: Carol King, Neil Diamond, Leiber & Stoller...to name a few.

Hang on, that's Tin Pan Alley. Forget I said that. :)

If it weren't for Chicago, we probably wouldn't be a blue state.

I haven't really spent any quality time in Chicago for quite a number of years (driving back and forth from O'Hare airport doesn't really count).

It's a great city, though.

I can't judge the Midwest since I have never been there, but you can keep your tornadoes.

They're all yours.

Believe me we got enough stuff to worry about between fires and hurricanes.
