Manny Paquiao will fight Ricky Hatton, for Hatton's Junior Welterweight title, on May 02, 2009 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.The two boxers are going to to let their fists fly on Saturday in what is termed as "The Battle of East and West.''

The 30-year-old Pacquiao (4 -3-2, 36 KOs), from Philippines, is regarded by most boxing observers as the sport's unofficial pound-for-pound king. His recent victory over his boxing idol, ring legend Oscar de la Hoya, was cause for national celebration in his homeland. Ricky Hatton (45-1, 32 KOs), from England, has a tenacious fighting style and has suffered his only professional loss in December 2007 when he lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr. as a welterweight.
