Mark Spitz/then and now
Micheal Phelps is on his way to breaking Mark Spitz's record of winning 7 gold medals in one Olympics. This is his chance. Both swimmers must be driven to accomplish their goals. But, that's where the likeness ends. As young competitors the personalities are quite different. One thing we need to keep in perspective: "We are the product of our environment, our time." Spitz has mellowed over the years and deserves to be respected for his Olympic moments in Munich 1972.
