Marshall University Football - The Marshall Thundering Herd

The Thundering Herd football team and its struggle to overcome a tragic plane crash that killed most of the team and its staff was the subject of the 2006 movie, "We Are Marshall." The movie starred Matthew McConaughey, Matthew Fox, and Kate Mara.
Marshall University is located in Huntington, West Virginia. It has an enrollment of 14,000 and was established in 1837
Marshall University was named after John Marshall, a former chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
