Mary Bono, a California Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives and the widow of Sonny Bono, has gotten married to Connie Mack, a fellow member of the House.

Sonny Bono, who was part of a top 40 musical duo Sonny & Cher in the 1960s (and was married to Cher at the time), later became a politician and was a California Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Sonny Bono married Mary Whitaker in 1986. When Sonny died in a skiing accident in 1998, Mary Bono ran for and won his seat in Congress.

Congressman Connie Mack (also known as Connie Mack IV) is a great-grandson of Connie Mack, the manager and owner of baseball's Philadelphia Athletics.

Mary Bono represents California's 45th district.
