Directed by Clint Eastwood and co-produced with another great film, Ron Howard
Through a perfect reconstruction of time and excellent musicalization, Clint Eastwood takes us to the real story of Christine Collins (Angelina Jolie). A single mother in the 20s suffers the terrible drama of the disappearance of his son Walter, age 9.
After 5 months of searching, police found a child of similar appearance claiming to be Walter. At time of reunion Christine Collins rejects the child because it is not really his son.
Aided by the Rev. Gustav Briegleb (John Malkovich) will face, corrupt police department in Los Angeles to find out the true whereabouts of his son.
Masterful work of art that touches the most sensitive fibers of the heart.
Everything in this film is designed to emote. Each contributes its bit to make it. The setting, costumes, photography, music, composed by Clint Eastwood himself and the convincing performances by the cast.
He contrasts rightly negative aspects of human life, from those distant years now remain.
Corruption, abuse of power, kidnapping, sadism, against the powerful instinct of a mother who will fight to the last breath to get his son.
Angelina Jolie manages to get rid of superficial characters often we have seen to give us a performance can emote.
John Malkovich, as he usually does, gives us a juicy character though somewhat similar to so many who've seen him.
The brilliance of the film is overshadowed by the end.
It's a bit long and indefinite.
When all pairs terminated, the film continues to show the details of the trials he faced Christine Collins.
In the last part goes to documentary film.
Of course in the end you want to know all the details of this compelling story, but maybe had reached a historical review and do not abuse the viewer.
Anyway in a movie more than enjoyable. Of those that remain forever etched in memory and heart.
Thanks Clint.
