Matt Millen Finally Fired As Detroit Lions President and CEO

The one thing Detroit Lions fans have been wanting for years has finally happen. William Clay Ford has fired Matt Millen. Under Matt Millen, the Detroit Lions were 31-84 and one of the worst ran franchises in the NFL. They will be celebrating in Detroit for weeks to come.

You need another Jimmy Smith

The Jags need to find another Jimmy Smith-type receiver to excel and stick around a while. No doubt the Lions will be offering to trade at least one of their receivers at the end of the season. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

Jaguars Receiver Problems

My Jaguars have drafted 2 WRs and 1 TE in three years yet we still have one of the worst receiving corps in the league. It is my opinion that WRs are one of the hardest positions to judge coming out of college. The DBs just aren't that good in the collegiate level. Good move by the Lions getting rid of Matt Millen though.

It looks like fewer WR's for Detroit now

For all of the glaring problems that the Lions had during his tenure, he certainly made sure the Lions picked a wide receiver in the first round often enough. Trouble is, it's hard to score points with those WR's when the quarterback spends most of his time flat on his back because the O-line can't stop diddly. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?
