Maybe in context?
posted November 1, 2006 - 1:04pmI heard on the radio this morning that an ESPN play-by-play guy has been suspended for using the word "gay" in describing somthing that happened durring the game he was covering this past weekend. He apologized and said he would be careful no to use words that could be taken out of context in the future.
Query: If your covering a football game, as this personality was, at what point, EVER, will the word "gay" be in context and appropriate? I know there is a WR for FSU whose name is Fagg, but that is his given name. This is something a little different right? In the land of PC, which I'm sure most of us here do not endorse, I want to know how you could do this without offending anyone?
