John McCain claimed that he was suspending his campaign and canceling tomorrow night's first presidential debate with Barack Obama because the state of the economy was more important than campaigning right now. But, much like the every other word that comes out of his mouth, it is a bald-faced lie. He is still running ads and his surrogates are still trash-talking Barack Obama in the media.

Is this a candidate that can be trusted to tell the American people the truth should he be elected president? He has already proven consistent with his lies to us.
