Is McCain choosing a new running mate?

He's certainly under some pressure to. This blogger thinks he might be, based on an interesting photo op and some choice words.

@wHATUP--McCain is Stuck on the Scales between BETWEEN ...

... 'presenting the image of a steadfast refuge jutting out above the winding flow of time' or 'presenting the image of a pliant reed bending to the flow of the people will (ONLY ONE of the forces of the flow of time)' In reality, John McCain is (relatively) a twig on the giant tree system of this government. Sure, he has a few 'leaves' to direct flows within the flow of time ('U.S. Senator,' whatever military-'rank' he held/holds, ... money-etc.); but what we are judging about him (using this metaphor) is 'how he uses what leaves he controls to direct the flows of power thus far (which gives us an idea of how the flows will be directed if we give him the additional leaves that come with the 'President of the United States'-leaf).' NOT 'who he hangs out with at parties,' nor 'who he boards boats with'! ---Buddha tells Uncle MythMan, "Flood the Open Eyes with the Truth, for as Long as You Exist!" I think

If, IF, he is going to make a move he will wait 'til after the debate. Maybe, MAYBE if she tanks then he'll switch but I still say he is lockin' up his cabinet. Ok, I'm using the double words too much. :)

Usually

Generally, sticking in an unknown this late is a very bad idea, but in this case...I almost wonder if it might not be McCain's only hope, what with the Couric interview and the latest news that Palin can't name any supreme court cases other than Roe v. Wade

John McCain Featured in the Next "National Enquirer"?

Let's hope the paparazzi doesn't catch Sarah Palin 'going commando' getting out of the car! Looking at the article, don't you kinda get one of those 'well, they've been seen together at more-than-one party; so "you know"...'-feelings? ---Buddha tells Uncle MythMan, "Flood the Open Eyes with the Truth, for as Long as You Exist!" I agree

McCain for better or worse is stuck with Palin now. To change at this late date would be throwing his candidacy in the crapper. He might, MIGHT be able to get away with it if he had a big name to run with him and could spin it - Gingrich or Powell would be the only ones that come to mind even then they would have to be in full spin to make it work. I say he is sticking with Palin and maybe looking for cabinet members.

Giuliani? No way

Palin got McCain support from conservatives, something he sorely lacked. Giuliani would alienate those conservatives: as NY mayor he was pro-immigration, pro-gay rights, and pro-abortion, and conservatives don't care for his "family values" (he's been married three times, divorced twice, and is alienated from his children).
