McCain Wins Debate! Before He Even Gets There

An ad was placed in the Wall Street Journal of a headshot of Senator John McCain with the words, "McCain Wins Debate!" Not that that would normally be a problem, spin being what it is, but the ad was placed at least 11 hours before the debate. In fact, it is not clear whether Senator McCain had even decided to particpate in the 1st Presidential election before the ad was up for viewing...

The ad was not run in print editions of the Journal, but in an online ad on its Web site. I'm guessing it wasn't there for very long before the campaign realized the mistake and took it down. Either that or the Republican campaign has mastered time travel.
