McLaren Let free after Verdict
posted July 27, 2007 - 3:56amMcLaren has been let free without any immediate charges after the spy row verdict. McLaren who has 780 pages of Ferrari's technical data, which bleaches the FIA rules, were released, uncharged, after FIA heard that there is 'insufficient evidence' to punish them.
Ferrari fuming
Ferrari, however, is furious
with the decision and said they will take the case to Italian, and English High Court.
"This decision legitimises dishonest behaviour in F1 and sets a very serious precedent" said Ferrari's statement.
Mclaren, however, said the decision was 'balanced and fair', as they insists that the informations hasn't been used for F1 World Championship advantage, however, many will disagree with this.
Ferrari blow
Ferrari who trails McLaren by 27 points in World Championship will take this as heavy blow, as, they believe that McLaren's success this year, was influenced by the technical information they has.
McLaren guilty?
McLaren, however denies this and said, they haven't done anything wrong, infact, they have done justice by suspending chief designer Mike Coughlan, who had the 780 pages of technical information. Suspending, not sacking raises questions marks over McLaren's part in this, as, this might have been co-ordinate by the McLaren board.
