It was a week after I applied for a Google Adsense account that my application got approved. I was so happy that finally, I’d start earning from the internet… And so I thought. I have read several write-ups about how one should not expect much (actually, it should be - - one should not expect at all) from a very short internet marketing stint and there I was, fallen prey, making the same mistake. Recovering, as I know that I was just fooling myself thinking nonsense, I start thinking of ways to turn that $0.00 into something else. Maybe another digit other than zero (0) will come of it soon, maybe in another month or so, or maybe, just maybe, tomorrow. Anyways, for now, I’d stare at my $0.00 earnings and just stick a wide grin on my face to celebrate my Google Adsense approval – a celebration that may be late but nevertheless a celebration.

Have You Put Your Account Number in the Space on Your Profile?

On your Xomba profile (after you sign in), there's an AdSense-tab. Clicking that tab takes you to a page with an 'Adsense ID' entry-space.

If you go there and see that the space is empty, it might explain why your AdSense-account isn't quite 'overflowing' yet.

Aside from that information (whichever ID Xomba asks for), you don't really need to 'go to the page' except to verify your payment-information.

What you really want to focus on (other than 'regularly writing something) is 'keywords' and 'social-networks'.

Writing about- and using-popular search-terms gives them a greater chance of working their way into your keywords.

Social-networks (MySpace, Yuwie, Facebook) will often give you space to link your friends to your writing. The more they visit, the more money you might make.

Thanks MythMan for your

Thanks MythMan for your comment. Truth is, I haven't looked at my Adsense account since.  :)

I'm with You, as I Hope All Other Xombies Are Too

I admit, I did  originally join Xomba for it's promise that one can earn income by writing on it. But there are several unspoken conditions to that income: principally the fact that (aside from the various quotas Abmox the Purple Alien enforces on us Xombies) it doesn't matter how much you write!

That is to say that--in the 'Quid pro Quo'-formula (the universal basis of all business-exchange ... literally 'this for that')--the Quid for the Quo of 'money' is 'visitors who want to find out more'---that we write for no other reason (as far as AdSense is concerned) than 'to attract such visitors to Xomba-webspace.'
