Me and my invisible disorder... Transverse Myelitis

On, March 17, 2008, I was diagnosed with the neurological disorder, Transverse Myelitis (TM), at St. Josephs/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. At the inception of TM I developed a paralysis of my lower body from my trunk downward, bowel and urinary disfunction, and breathing difficulties. Finding resources about TM was a daunting and nerve racking task... especially during the onset of this condition. With no formal medical training, the term, "Transverse Myelitis", was jargon in my vocabulary. Unfortunately, this is the case for many people who have been diagnosed with TM. I created the online medical community, www.transversemyelitis.ning.com to help people find information and resources in confronting TM. Through countless hours of dedication by myself and Kevin, we have compiled a detailed list of sites that can be accessed by the tool bars. My goal is to build a community of compassionate people who face the daily storm of living with TM or support a friend or family member with TM. There you will find hope, respect and friendship. Please visit my TM Network. Thank you for reading my Xombyte!

God bless you all,

Greg Sapp
