Meat Cutlets

If you are a meat lover, then you will love this recipe.  Meat cutlets can be made from ground meat or meat scraped off the bones after cooking.  Whatever type of meat you choose the method to make the cutlets is same.

Boil your shredded meat or ground meat in a pot with chic peas, salt, pepper and the other spices you like to add in your meat recipe for taste.  Let it cook for at least half an hour until it is cooked well.  Make sure to check on it frequently to make sure the water released by your meat is not dry.  If the water evaporates quickly it would burn your meat.  Add more water if necessary.

 

Once your meat is cooked well, make sure the water is all gone.  You will need to grind the meat in a grinder.  It is upto you how much you want to grind your meat.  For people who would like to taste a little chunk of meat while eating their cutlets, can leave the meat less grinded.

 

When the meat is ready, take it out of the grinder and make small flat cakes out of the grinded meat.  Here you can also add some fresh parsley or green onions in the meat for taste.  Adding smashed potatoes or chunks of potatoes is also a good idea. 

 

After you make the cakes, fry them in a hot frying pan with olive oil or corn oil depending on your preference.  Make sure to turn them over to fry both the sides.  5-10 minutes is a good time for frying.  Once ready, take them out of the pan and serve with bread or salad.
