This poem is based on the story a beautiful Chinese baby, who was condemned to die abandoned and rejected by her parents, all because she was a female. See, the Chinese have a crazy policy of allowing only one child per family, and condemn millions of little children to die, in what they call "Dying Rooms". I learned about this case, after watching a documentary, also entitled "Dying Rooms", made by a crew of British filmmakers, who entered the rooms, pretending to be from a charity organization, and secretly recorded what they saw.
