Mental Health or Financial Wealth?

Mental Health or Financial Wealth?

As many of you know, the job market is virtually non-existent and anyone who finds a job should be grateful and hold onto it. Right?
I recently saw my doctor and psychiatrist who strongly recommended I quit my job due to the affects it has on my, already fragile, mental state. (IE: chronic depression, general panic disorder, bipolar I disorder)
"But is this really in my best interest right now?" I asked him. "Well, the choice is yours." he said. "But think for a minute what is more important to you? Your mental health or financial wealth?"
Since my second week working there, I have broken out in SEVERE hives and had difficulty breathing everyday I have to work, and last night I was hospitalized for it.
And here I sit. Seeking advice from strangers, contemplating my future and wondering which to go with. My mind is screaming for me to leave this place, for it deteriorates me, but my family and friends tell me to stay and "suck it up."

I value your thoughts/opinion on this.
This is a problem I just can't figure out by myself.
