Symptoms of Mesothelioma like all other symptoms can be mistaken for something else. Mesothelioma is caused by long term exposure to asbestos. Mesothelioma is caused when long fibrous asbestos fibers are released into the air. Breathing these fibers may cause them to become lodged in your lungs. The asbestos fibers stay in the body for many years and eventually produce long term health problems and are known to be a direct link to Mesothelioma.
Here is a list of the symptoms for Mesothelioma and what signs to look for.
1. Abdominal pain or abdominal swelling.
2. Shortness of breath.
3. Coughing that is followed by pain.
4. Pain when breathing.
5. Weight Loss that is uncharacteristic.
6. Chest pain below the rib cage.
7. Unusual lumps- The lumps willl appear below the skin at the chest area.
8. A Dry Cough
9. Diarrhea or frequent constipation.
10.Loss of appetite or difficulty swallowing.
