Michael J Fox should take his medication

Michael J Fox should take his medication

Hey, we all like Mike. He is a talented actor. We were all sorry he got Parkinsons, a terrible disease. The Canadian born actor has taken a strong interest in politics. I believe he has dual citizenship. This is all well and good. This society encourages involvement and activism. I think Mike stepped over the line. I think he misrepresented himself and shamfully used his illness to promote a political agenda.

Before the debate starts let me first say that his own words in his biography state this. He would purposely skip his medication when appearing before Congress in his Stem Cell Research battle to gain support by showing the disease at it's worst. If he resorted to this then, how can we think anything else now with this new political ad that is causing all the controversy. In fact, the wild gesticulations and posturing before the camera brought on a remark by Rush Limbaugh that perhaps Mike was even acting a bit. That went over big but have you seen it yet? I'll say one thing, he was off his meds at the least and maybe deserves an emmy for best actor in a political ad at the most.

Parkinsons is a dreadful disease and if we have medication that controls it then he should be taking it. Not purposely making himself look worse for political gain. I used to do this when I tried to trick my mother to get out of going to school. Come on Mike, your better than this.

I am not going to go into the pro's and cons of this issue. I personaly think it is wrong to allow the research but that is a whole other debate. This is about dirty low down poitics at it's lowest form. Shame on you Mike. Take your medicine.

Here's the difference

Rush advertises that he is a conservitive talk show. CBS pretends to be objective. Lemming is an interesting word, isn't it?

More objective than Limbore, yes.

Thank you. (By the way, "lemming" is an interesting word...)

Antonia Dwells

If the information that is objective is "wrong"...

...and if only the slanted conservative (and fanatical) Republican information is "right," then yes, I'm paying attention to the "wrong" information. And I've got an ear on the "right" information, too (which is mostly wrong).

Antonia Dwells

you are reading the wrong papers and watching the wrong

channels. We agree to disagree!

I don't use the word "wrong" much...

...but you are. "Seems most people agree that he is just a good actor who had a bad performance." That is a wrong statement. It is purely a perspective statement. I know your perspective; now, get some. Haven't you been paying attention? He apologized, bub. "Most people" (the majority) do not think it was a "performance." Do some reading (or TV-watching, at least). Watch CBS Evening News tonight.

Antonia Dwells

Well yes thats true

I have got something here indeed. Also the spin on Mike J Fox is pretty well established since this article went to print. Seems most people agree that he is just a good actor who had a bad performance.

Watch CBS Evening News tonight (Friday).

(Oh...and I see that Limbore has apologized for his inane remarks. Typical.)

Antonia Dwells

The whole WMD issue was a nonissue?

I think you've got something there, A.

Antonia Dwells

You are saying that I can't think for myself,

that I need Rush Limbaugh to do my thinking for me. Your playing politics here as Mike was. When you call Rush, Limbore you show all your cards. I guess we can say then according to you that the whole WMD issue in Iraq was a non issue. I did not see that as a deception. Just a President putting us where he felt we needed to be. Perhaps your right. Antything goes . The end must justify the means.
