Michael Richards let his hate out. And someone deemed it cell phone video worthy, and now a man who was adored by most, is less than a man now. Because he broke character, because he became human and no longer the way we want him, or pictured him to be. I don’t think what he did was so bad. I think his biggest mistake was trying too hard to reach the spotlight again, and making himself vulnerable to hecklers and criticism. He had been told for so long that he was perfect, funny, that he couldn’t take the thought and feeling of realizing that at this very time in his life, he is not. And he lashed out with the most hurtful words he could think of, to hurt the people lashing out at him. Because to him, they were cutting him, a proven successful comedian, with the sharpest knife of all, “YOU ARE NOT FUNNY.” Its like telling a seasoned porn star that his package just isn’t big enough anymore, or telling a famous writer that his stuff just doesn’t have any substance like his old stuff did. Or telling a pilot, that he just cant fly like he used to. They tortured him with the worst thing they possibly could, so he returned the favor, with the ugliest words he could find. Does that make him a racist? Who’s to say, I did not see the whole incident and don’t know the man personally, but I know that what he is going through must be the hardest thing he has ever experienced. Cause its one thing to embarrass yourself in front of a lot of people, its entirely worse to embarrass yourself in front of the entire world. Michael Richards I am praying for you tonight to make amends and free yourself of this anger and rage that builds up in all of us. Write, read and reflect on your life and what legacy you want to leave for your family and friends. Its important that we all leave something behind, and if we can help out others, by letting them see our flaws, then maybe that’s better than not making any mistakes at all.
