Michael Vick relinquished himself to U.S. Marshals today. He is expecting a prison term for his dog fighting scandal and wanted to convey an acceptance of responsibility.
One of Vick's lawyers stated that "From the beginning, Mr. Vick has accepted responsibility for his actions, and his self-surrender further demonstrates that acceptance...Michael wants to again apologize to everyone who has been hurt in this matter, and he thanks all of the people who have offered him and his family prayers and support during this time."
Vick could be looking at 5 years in prison. He wasn't scheduled to be sentenced until December 10, but he will be spending his time in jail until then.
