Google created their Blog Search and now is looking into the Microblogging market. This would mean more exposure for users of microblogs, the most popular being Twitter.

Google has already acquired Jaiku, a lesser known competitor of Twitter. With the power of Google behind it and a microblogging search engine backed by Google, Jaiku may be in a good position to overtake Twitter.
