Microsoft launches new version of Windows Live Hotmail

Microsoft began launching the third wave of Windows Live Hotmail where information such as contacts should be available faster and easier. This new version of Windows Live Hotmail doesn't bring any great changements. "No great changes were made: it looks like a newly painted room rather than a newly arranged house." the Hotmail-update notification says. "We only made a couple of improvements, based on the feedback users like you gave us."

One of the new features in this new version of Windows Live Hotmail is the contact picker. Using this feature, users can look up contacts more easier while writing an e-mail message. Microsoft said that this update is about 70 procent faster than the previous version. It's unknown whether Windows Live Mail is now faster than Google Mail. Sure thing is that the full version of Hotmail is now as fast as the classic light version.

An other improvement is the fresh new look of Windows Live Hotmail. The developers find the new look alot fresher and calm. In this version, it's still possible to choose other colour themes, but only a limited amount of themes are available for the users to choose from.

Most people using a Live-address already received the update, the other users of Hotmail will have to wait a little before they can upgrade too.
