Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day - Review English Chick Flick Romance

The start of the movie shows Miss Pettigrew being dismissed from her post. You right away start to follow it and feel as it it's a worthwhile story, or let's say I did. I thought it was wonderfully different. I always like to see London. She goes back to the agency and right away something's up. She has to get a job and is desperate. She takes a job address that isn't hers and goes over there to be a secretary. She seems to have been so afraid of one guy that she leaves her suitcase in the street.

She goes over to the house. The lady of the house a young girl is expecting her or someone else really. She helps her out with her overnight guest Ms. Pettigrew does. The girl is a Hollywood want to be actress. She is attempting to sleep her way to the top. She does have the apt. a really and truly beautiful apt. I was just sitting there watching that. I thought it was very good at the start really. I thought oh this will be good.

The girl employs her and they are soon on a trip to get her new clothes of course. Miss. P. finds a dashing man there a designer who she seems to like. He is the love interest. The trouble is he's engaged.

It goes on with more hijinx. It is kind of a women's movie.
The actress has the club owner, the young kid who's casting and a piano player she has to make a choice. The piano player is very engaging.

Miss Pettigrew is kind of moping around at this point. But it seems to be a transformation. The designer man is talking to her.

It does end very romantically as I'm sure it's from the book.

Ms. McDormand is an actress everyone seems to like. I thought her ok. I was surprised to find out she was the same one from the movie in Minn. about murder where she was blonde. I hadn't cared for it much. But she is different in that. It made me think differently knowing who it was.

It was fun to see her talking about being an extra since I was one. When she says "I was the crowd," it's funny but it's not what an extra would say.

Amy Adams is going on pretty well. The thing was a girl like that would be more worldly. After awhile I knew she was a nice, little girl or from that and it didn't seem to be working. She wasn't being wicked at all. She was undecided and almost seemed cruel.

I like to see my opinions seconded and it's about what Jo Blo the reviewer as far as her being not the right type or acting.
