Dayana Mendoza Miss Venezuela was crowned Miss Universe 2008
from her predecessor, Riyo Mori of Japan in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The 22 year old winner who was once kidnapped in her homeland says the experience taught her to remain poised under pressure. You can read more on this here and check out her pictures.
