Montreal gunman was a bloger

no hyperlink, need to investigate that.

The news story above is creepy. The shooter in Montreal was a fellow blogger. Have you ever seen him? Probably not, unless you blog on vampires.com. I'm not to sure that I would allow in my friends list on any blog site, a man with a huge gun, quoting that he hates the world. What would you do if you came accross this man adding you to his friends list?

Random gay is velvety!

Awe, Gus - you are so gay!

I loved "Elefant" up until he made them gay but that is Gus and that is his trade mark - RANDOM ASS GAY Scenes! If you had seen the whole "LAst Days" like I unfortunately did you would have seen another random gay scene btween the guitarist and drummer (supposedly Dave Grahl and the other guy). Its unprovoked and outta no where but that's Gus for ya. At one point I put my player on Fast foward and watched as 5 minutes whirled by of a shot of a bush outide his house. Another scene was outside the house looking in the window watching him do dishes...for like 7 minutes. I do give him kudos for wanting to say F-U to the standard script formula. Yeah, for unconventionalism and breaking away from the norm. --Sue

Elephant

I really do like Gus Van Sant's "Elephant." I know many people who do not. But I think its doc-like style (it appears to be cinema verite yet is not) fits the subject matter, and I like that many of the main performers were non-actors previously. "Last Days" tries to capture that same feel, but I just couldn't watch more than the first 20 minutes--it bored me to tears. Maybe I'll give it another try someday.

several things come to mind

i wouldn't piss him off, for one. I'd make sure I have a bigger gun and I'd keep an eye over my shoulder and make sure I shoot first and last and often. Your right

I'm glad you mentioned the listening part. Seriously I think the next time I see something nutty someone has done, I will befriend them. Safely online of course, maybe someone hearing him could have changed the outcome.

a press release!?

I feel so dirty having read it now. I should have known - NO ONE is that crazy about Drum publications. That is so wrong. Something should be done - or this place is gonna be like myspace with advertisers feasting on unsuspecting bloggers. Do you want all the articles on the right side bar to be from PR??

It's a Xomba joke...

...the press release that gets about 1,000 hits a day. It's on the right sidebar (all the time). It begins 'Enter Music Media'...

Add him

I would add him and listen. Nobody listens to people anymore. Maybe he would have felt the need to confide in someone and told me something about what he was going to do. I spent a lot of time as a youth sponsor listening to confused young adults and that is the easiest way to diffuse a bomb like him. Here's a scarier thought (at least for me anyway), I was in my sophmore year of highschool when Columbine went down and now I am in college when this went down. I thought it was young people and that a mature college person wouldn't make such a huge irrationalization but now I know that it is just my generation that is fucked up and that no other age groups are this sick. sad. --Sue

okay

Its really about drumming okay...hehe.

E

okay

Now I have to go look and see what Drum magazine is?
