More Legal Woes For Britney Spears

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Rebecca Omens has ordered Britney Spears to appear at a Los Angeles police station before her October 25, court date to be photographed and fingerprinted in relation to the charges stemming from the August 6 incident in which she was filmed by paparazzi bumping the bumper of a parked vehicle, while parking her car and then walking away. She failed to leave a note...

Although there did not appear to be any damage to the bumper of the car she bumped, her lawyer states that the initial damage bill of $1600 will be paid to the owner of the car, along with any additional bills that are presented to him. He says there are several other bills being readied at the moment and that he does not know the total amount. He states that this type of incident is usually allowed to be settled out of court by civil resolution without a criminal finding. Of course, this is Britney Spears, so there is no telling what the court will decide.

Associated Press reports that the car's owner, Kim Robard-Rifkin, filed a police report three days after the incident. She discovered that Spears hit her car through watching an online video.

It seems a little excessive to me, but here is the video.... you be the judge....

Britney's Latest Legal Battle

Has anyone heard anything about the resolution of these charges? I know the court date was set for October 25, but thought that they were settling it and that maybe the charges would be dropped.... But, I cant find anything new on it.... Angel
