Over a week ago nude photos of Vanessa Hudgens, star of Disneys TV movie phenomenon "High School Musical" and "High School Musical 2" appeared on the internet.

There was, of course, speculation about the pictures... were they really photos of Vanessa or were they fake.

Vanessa's representative released a statement that they were in fact, actual photos of Vanessa. It seems that Vanessa had been in a hotel in London and had taken photos of herself in the mirror with her cell phone camera for her boyfriend and fellow "High School Movie" star and sent them to him.

The photos were meant to be private and at the present time no one knows how they escaped to the internet. But escape they did and they have been distributed around the world during the past week. The rumor is that there are more to be distributed.

Disney predictably announced that Vanessa would be replaced in the production of "High School Musical 3." No statement was made about her boyfriend co-star and his future employment.

And so it was until CNN and Fox covered the story this afternoon.

The resulting uproar has been intense. Vanessa apologized to everyone. Fans of Vanessa and their parents responded with overwhelming support of the young and somewhat foolish young girl.

Now we wait to see what will happen if more photos are dispersed. Hopefully, whoever has those photos will decide to keep them private.

Everyone would like to know how those photos got out on the internet in the first place.
