Mormon Culture in Utah
posted September 17, 2009 - 10:57pmSo here I am contemplating the day as I usually do... And I realize I hate Utah. Its probably the six or seven hundreth time I have realized this, but none the less. Everyone here is superficial and has their own twisted reasons for wanting to talk to you.
I really dont know why I am still living here. I keep wanting to get out, to move away completely. But its hard to just get up and move away from everything you know, even if your head is telling you to run. Its just that fear that hides in the corners of your mind that keeps you from accomplishing the things you have always wanted to do. In my mind, I want to travel the nation and the world and see everything! But my fear holds me back.
My hatred comes from living in Utah for over 18 years now. I think that the whole state is infested with the terrible religion of Latter Day Saints, Or Mormons. Its all the same to me, I suppose. The religion itself is ok, but the people take their own interpretations to it and everything goes haywire from there. People think that the mormon religion is the correct religion but they dont take the time to even listen to what other religions have to say, they just put complete trust in one thing.
People fight over everything, but I think religion is one of the main reasons for fighting. Which makes no sense in any way.... But its what happens. Different people stating different opinions for their own sake and what not, its a big mess.
Anyways, just a big blurb of my reasons for hating Utah, and Mormon culture. Please ask me any questions, I grew up in the Mormon religion so I can answer most of them.
