The Most Dangerous Curves
posted November 5, 2009 - 5:07pmThis is a fictional write based on a true event. Fast Cars is a true account of the event, but it probably isn't 100% accurate either.

When a boy becomes a teenager he learns to drive. That usually happens when he is about 14 to 16 years old. Of course when he learns to drive he is taught about th curves are at least part of them. He is taught that some curves are dangerous and some aren't because of not being as sharp as the more dangerous ones.
There are some curves that are dangerous and others that are even more dangerous. The most dangerous curves are usually the sharpest ones that the car has to maneuver. Boys must learn to maneuver the car carefully around those dangerous curves. When I was a young man, I was thrown through the windshield of my brother's car when he missed a curve that he was trying to maneuver around near Conway, Arkansas one night. Now that was a dangerous curve I thought, as I flew through the air. In fact, I thought, I bet that is the most dangerous curve I have ever seen, but it wasn't the most dangerous that I ever saw.
Over the years I came across several dangerous curves, and I saw a lot of teenageers miss many curves. One day I noticed that many times when the teenage boys were missing the curves in the road a good looking teenage girl was riding in the car beside them. The most dangerous curves I realized are often inside the car. I saw that the curves outside the car could be maneuvered from inside the car, but the curves inside the car should not be maneuvered at that time or at that young age. Perhaps the boys were attempting to maneuver the curves inside the car before they were ready to be maneuvered. Yes, the most dangerous curves are often inside the car especially when the drivers are young teenage boys. Most boys feel that they must maneuver the curves outside the car, and they want to maneuver the curves inside car too.

Thank you!
Thanks Nancy,
I really did get thrown through the windshield, and Fast Cars is fairly accurate. It was accurate to best of my memory and no one else was still living to ask about what happened. I have led a farrly intersting life or so I am told.
Thanks again!
Johnny
LOL! You can say that again.
LOL! You can say that again. Gotta watch the curves in the road! Laughed out loud when I read " Now that was a dangerous curve I thought, as I flew through the air." Good read!
