Every year during this time, there are a few items that parents scramble to find and pay way too much for. This year is no different as people look far and wide to find the perfect gift for their loved ones.

The most popular toys this season are as follows:

1) Nintendo Wii. This comes as no surprise to anyone who's played one of these things. Tiger Woods Golf and Tennis will keep you occupied for hours.

2) Webkinz. These plush animal toys have web interactivity which make them perfect for kids raised on video games and the internet.

3) Transformers Bumblebee. This is not a surprise, due to the success of the recent Transformers movie, this toy is hot. Optimus Prime will be out soon. History repeats itself, because when I was around 9 or 10 years old, I wanted a transformers action figure, but alas, they were all sold out. I had to settle for a GI Joe, which comes out as a movie next year.

4) Bratz. These impossibly proportioned dolls are Barbie 2.0. There are tons of accessories that young girls go crazy for.

5) Smart Cycle. This physical learning arcade center hooks up to a tv. Kids learn as they play. It's a trick! You're actually learning, not just having fun playing the Spongebob game.

6) T.M.X. toys. It's not only Elmo this year. Now you can get T.M.X. Cookie Monster and T.M.X. Ernie.

7) I-DOG. A robot puppy that plays music. Pretty cool.
