Mother Forces Two Children to Live With the Decaying Body of a 90 Year Old Woman.
Toilet
This one takes place in Madison, Wisconsin where a devoutly religious woman, Sister Mary Bernadett (35), propped the "passed out" body of an elderly woman atop her toilet. She swore that the woman was still breathing, and instead of calling an ambulance, placed a call to her Religious Mentor, Bishop Peter Bushey ( pronounced Boo-Shay ).
Bushey told her that God had spoken with him, and would be performing the proper miracles to bring this woman back to life.
Sister Bernadett's two children, aged 12 and 15, were forced to use a makeshift toilet and live with the decaying smell of a human body for two months.
When police entered the house, in response to a phone call by Bernadetts blood-sister, they discovered an overwhelming scent of incense, and religious iconography spread about the house. Bernadett denied access to police, claiming she needed to receive permission from the proper "authorities" but finally complied to let them investigate further rooms.
Police discovered the smell of a rotting body, and found a decaying mass propped atop the homes only toilet.
Upon later questioning the children claimed they had thoughts of running away to escape the situation, but Bishop Bushey had told them that Demons were the cause of the elderly woman's decay, and that Demons were attempting to make it only look as though she were dead.
The children are now in state custody, and Bernadette and Bushey are to be seen in court on May 19th.

Having to live with such a headcase! A person might be dead but you are not sure whether this person is breathing or not! so what do you do? of course! Call the Bishop! Nevermind the ambulance! Amazing!
Sheesh!
I think this woman is in dire need of a new religious mentor.

It is hard to believe the choices some people make. To prop the woman on the toilet and to just leave her there and expect her children to go the bathroom where? In the name of religion she believes what she did is perfectly normal. How can that be?
Demented
Foolishness, and positions of power.
The "Bishop" is no less a head case.
Glad to hear they took the kids.
