Movie Review: Boy Eats Girl
The Irish comedy BOY EATS GIRL, directed by Stephen Bradley, is an entry in the very, very rare genre "romantic zombie comedy" - or romzomcom.
    Poor Nathan is unhappily in love with a gal pal (Samantha Mumba), so he commits suicide. However, using a voodo ritual, Nathan is re-animated by his mother. Well, it's great to be alive again, thinks young Nathan. The disadvantage of being a resurrected corpse is that Nathan now hungers for human flesh. Time to get messy and depraved.
    Things go as they usually do in movies like this, and a zombie epidemic is spreading in the small village they live in. This is a relatively restrained movie, best described as "nice", but the ones yearning for a splatter orgy won't be disappointed either. The one hour and seventeen minutes running time is exemplary. 
    BOY EATS GIRL was released in Sweden as SCARY VIDEO 5!!! I can't recall which movies the first four entries were...

Just when you thought they couldn't make a weider movie! I bet I would laugh all the way through this one! Sometimes I watch these severly B flicks just to get a laugh!
