MP3 Magic

MP3 Magic

While lying in bed, listening to my MP3 player through a good set of headphones, it occurred to me:

This act is taken for granted by most people, myself included. But an MP3 player is a technological wonder that is worth some thought and possibly even AWE.< span>
 
I got to thinking about how much the music means to me. I also thought about what was taking place as I listened.  And I was amazed.  It is almost magic - this little device.  But of course, it is NOT magic - it is technology, and wonderful technology at that. 
 
And the dominant thought in my mind was WOW!  We have come a long way since the gramaphone!
 
So, I sat up in bed and started writing, and this piece is what I ended up with. I hope you like it.

Zero one
Zero zero one
Digital bits of info
Read and transmitted
From chip to wires
From wires to music

Music to my ears
Emotions to my soul
Energy I can feel
Beating in my chest
Generating thoughts in my head
Feelings in my heart
Heart resonating to the beat

Beats in my heart
And thoughts in my head
Create energy I transmit

I wonder who's receiving
